TipCent

Terms of use

Last updated October 2026

TipCent lets creators receive voluntary payments ("sponsorships") from their audience. By using TipCent you agree to these terms.

Sponsorships

Sponsorships are voluntary gifts. Fans receive nothing in return unless a creator says otherwise. Payments are processed in US dollars by our payment partner.

Fees

On each sponsorship, TipCent keeps a platform fee (currently 5%) and the payment processor keeps its fee. The rest is added to the creator's balance. Fees are shown for every payment in the dashboard.

Withdrawals

Creators can withdraw their balance to a Nigerian bank account in Naira, at the rate shown before they confirm, or as USDT to a wallet they provide. Each withdrawal carries a flat fee (currently ₦100, or its dollar equivalent for USDT), shown before confirming and refunded if the withdrawal fails. Creators are responsible for entering correct bank and wallet details. Crypto sent to a wrong address or network cannot be recovered.

Refunds and disputes

If a payment is refunded or disputed with the card issuer, the amount (less the platform fee) is taken back from the creator's balance, which may become negative until new sponsorships arrive.

Not allowed

Impersonating another creator, using stolen payment methods, raising money for illegal activity, or anything that breaks our payment partners' rules. We may put accounts on hold while we investigate.
